Symposia

CytoDS will grant the use of its name and its full support to the organization of an annual scientific meeting of the image-based profiling research community. The purpose of these meetings is discussing recent advances in the field and fostering communication within the research community. Connections with other domains are forge by inviting experts from those fields to give a presentation at the symposium. The agenda is created by the organizers, while CytoDS will assist in fundraising, outreach and general organizational questions. The location of the meeting should be chosen based on an online poll sent to all members of the society, and must adhere to the equal rights policies of the society.

CytoData 2024 - by the CytoData board in collaboration with SBI2

CytoData in 2024 We are thrilled to announce that this year, CytoData is joining forces with SBI2! You can take part in the traditional CytoData Hackathon on September 17 (see details below), and join us from September 18-20 for an event supercharged in spatial and morphological profiling. The CytoData board is organizing a colloquium on “Image-based profiling of biological systems across scales and modalities” on September 18, with lectures from Auguste Genovesio, Meghan Driscoll and John Hickey, selected flash talks and a round table discussion. The SBI2 society prepared an exciting line-up of workshops and speakers tailored to the bioimaging and analysis community. Cytodata 2022 will be hosted in-person by the Allen Institute for Cell Science in Seattle, WA on October 17-20, 2022. The Allen Institute for Cell Science is a division of the Allen Institute, whose mission is to create dynamic and multi-scale visual models of cell organization, dynamics and activities that capture experimental observation, theory and prediction to understand and predict cellular behavior in its normal, regenerative, and pathological contexts. Following the success of last years Cytomining Hackathon, where data scientists from 20 of the worlds top high-content screening laboratories came together to set a path for the field, the hackathon is back. Running over 3 days and 3 nights, we’ll begin with a day of talks, networking, and discussion before getting down to the hacking itself. For the Hackathon we’ll prepare a previously unseen imaging dataset. Working in groups, your task will be to develop novel software and analysis techniques to extract information from the dataset.
